Aims and objectives

Hepatology Society, Dhaka, Bangladesh is a non-political, voluntary, non-profitable and non-government organization. 
  • The main objective of the society is to promote the scientific advancement in, and education on, liver disease. 
  • The society will exchange information between national, regional and international organization and scientist for the development of consensus for different issues of interest in the field of Hepatology. 
  • The society will conduct and coordinate training in the field of Hepatology to upgrade hepatologists and doctors involved in the management of liver disease in the country and abroad.
  • The society aims to create research facility among the hepatologists of the regional countries and will focus the common issues of the patient management in the regional countries.
  • The society will publish bulletins, scientific journal, books, leaflets etc. on liver disease.
  • The society will work in concert with concerned government and non-government agencies to increase the facilities for diagnosis and treatment of liver disease patients in the country.
  • The society will arrange meetings and seminars to increase the awareness of general population about liver diseases and to educate and motivate the people for prevention of liver diseases.
  • The society will provide humanitarian and charitable services to the population at large.
